WASHINGTON COLUMBIA VALLEY RIESLING The Columbia Valley produces many prestigious wines from their world-class Riesling grapes. Delicate yet complex, Rieslings grown here offer pronounced ripeness while retaining acidity, showing fantastic floral aromas and flavors of peach and apricot, while still maintaining a crisp freshness. This vivid fruitiness is enhanced by a unique new sasse-reserve finishing pack, making this Riesling unique.
ITALIAN PINOT GRIGIO The uniquely Italian version of the well known Pinot Gris grape, picked earlier in Italy than in all other regions and well before its characteristic loss of acidity at ripening, for a bright, crisp, dry white wine with a gentle perfume and a detectable spiciness. Fresh, fragrant and lively, its flavors include a certain flintiness with hints of citrus and almonds.
ITALIAN VERDICCHIO Verdicchio is one of central Italy's extremely popular white wine varieties, produced from the astonishingly lively Verdicchio grape. Its name is derived from verde, meaning green, referring to the yellow-¬green skin of the grape, which gives the wine a subtle, greenish hue. The aroma is delicate, light and fruity, and the flavor is pleasantly crisp and distinctly dry, with bright lemony acidity and a fresh, elegant finish that cleans the palate.
AUSTRALIAN CHARDONNAY Leave it to the Aussies to take the noble French grape and turn it into the wine equivalent of a full-on party. The Chardonnays of Australia continue to wow wine drinkers around the world with their unabashed celebration of opulent fruit and seductive vanilla-oak, full-bodied flavor. AUSTRALIAN MURRAY RIVER RESERVE A full-flavored and intense white from the Murray River wine region on the Victoria¬ New South Wales border. Herbaceous bouquets and ripe, tropical fruit flavors come through in this blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Colombard and Muscat varieties. Crisp and dry, with refreshing acidity and a light hint of oak.
CHILEAN CHARDONNAY Our Chilean Chardonnay displays charming flavors and personality: lively and medium-bodied, with citrus and apple.
FRENCH CHARDONNAY The classic, from the country that made famous in so many of its high-end white wine blends. Pleasantly dry, with medium acidity balanced with subtle hints of citrus and fruit. Includes premium French oak for a characteristic vanilla-oak structure. Has established a following for its unique balance of dryness, fruit and oak.
CHAMBLAISE Clean, refreshing and crisp. Essentially dry, but with a floral character and a full intensity of fruit that make it a universally appealing blend. Chamblaise offers a wonder¬ful balance, with medium acidity balancing the fruit, all within a dry, pleasing finish. One of the most useful wines available, it is a versatile match with a variety of foods.
CHARDONNAY/SEMILLON A traditional favorite. The combination of these two exceptional varieties with the oak additive gives a depth of complexity and character. Dry, fruity bouquet accented with a hint of oak.
GEWÜRZTRAMINER This immensely charming, exotic wine is true to its German translation: spicy. Deeply colored and opulently aromatic, with an unmistakably flowery perfume and flavors of lychees and roses. Crisp, lush, and refreshing - a wonderful match with spicy foods, strong cheeses and fresh fruits.
JOHANNISBERG RIESLING The character of this fine German varietal is truly distinctive. Displays a flowery bouquet, complex fruit and cinnamon flavors and a crisp, clean finish.
LIEBFRAUMILCH STYLE A popular German classic. With a pronounced floral bouquet and a perfect marriage of sweetness with a slight dry finish, this startling wine is made for seafood and strong cheeses.
LUNA BIANCA In the spirit of the great full-bodied Chardonnays of California and Australia, Luna Bianca is lush, golden and rich. Dense, luscious, buttery aromas dance up from the glass. Flavors of tropical fruits blend with the vanilla-oak backing - a technique usually achieved through barrel fermentation with extended lees (yeast sediment) contact. The high alcohol finished wine is smooth and mouth-filling.
MÜLLER-THURGAU Developed as a cross combining the lively qualities of Riesling with the viticultural reliability of Sylvaner, Germany's most widely cultivated grape attains rare heights in aroma and flavor. This Müller-Thurgau is crisp and clean, with a grapey fruit character, low to medium acidity, and a pleasantly fragrant aroma. Vibrant flavors of crunchy green apples are imparted in its floral residual sweetness.
PIESPORTER STYLE The town of Piesport in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer wine region has an ideal steep amphitheater site perfect for producing sound, honeyed, delicate wines. Our version captures the classic flavor and magical fragrance of this respected German style.
RUISSEAU BLANC A French regional style blend which has established its own fan following, this aromatic wine is easy to appreciate, boasting rich, ripe, full-bodied flavors and lively aromas. It uniquely combines a crisp dryness with an abundance of delicious fruit. Fresh and lively, with a depth and complexity that approaches Chardonnay.
SAUVIGNON BLANC Crisp and flavorful, this popular grape varietal has distinctive and immediately recognizable aroma and flavor characteristics. The famous grassy, herbaceous bouquet and flinty aftertaste are here, with the generous acidity that is typical of the grape. Steely, grassy, and defiantly dry, nothing can complement a meal better than Sauvignon Blanc, a unique wine which offers a definitive counterpoint to the ubiquitous Chardonnay.
RED WINES
LODI OLD VINES ZINFANDEL This special Zinfandel is sourced directly from the Lodi appellation in California's Central Valley (home of Mondavi's Lodi-Woodbridge winery). There the famous thick, gnarled and twisted old vine plantings possess deep, rigor¬ous root systems and limited grape yields, contributing to intensely concentrated flavors in the grapes. The result is a deep rich red, with bold, zesty aromas and ripe berry fruits on the tongue. Pairs exceptionally well with lamb, spicy ribs, grilled meats, and pasta with meat sauce dishes.
WOODBRIDGE RANCH 11 CABERNET SAUVIGNON The Woodbridge appellation in California's Central Valley has established itself for producing distinctive, consistently excellent Cabernet. Woodbridge Ranch 11 Cabernet Sauvignon is the hearty red wine classic that lovers of fine Cabernet hunt down with passionate zeal - the king of red grapes in all its splendid glory. Our Cab has the trademark black currant and cherry flavors, but its true triumph is the subtle weave of complex flavor compounds that contribute to the overall experience. AUSTRALIAN SHIRAZ The grape that was made for Down Under - its hot climate perfect for bringing out the best traits in this popular grape varietal. Australian Shiraz is seductively delicious, with startlingly rich, ripe aromas that deliver right through to the full, zesty finish. Amazingly, the style allows for polished tannins early, so the young wine is not rough or harsh. The aged version retains the core fruit flavors of plums, cherries and blackberries, but gains extra polish.
CHILEAN CABERNET SAUVIGNON Our Chilean version of this classic boasts black pepper and berry bouquets. Notably flavorful, with tannins that develop with age.
CHILEAN MERLOT Powerful fruit and spice flavor, with mellow tannins for a supple finish. Deserves ageing, but will develop quicker than Cabernet Sauvignon and will stand up to the same food pairings.
FRENCH CABERNET SAUVIGNON The world's most renowned red wine, from the world's most renowned wine country. Deep ruby red color, with characteristic fruit intensity balanced by strong tannins which, with the addition of premium French oak, results in a wine of rich complexity.
FRENCH MERLOT Direct from the vineyards of southern France, this classic varietal is rich with ripe fruit and berry flavors, yet soft and elegant. Dry, full-bodied and deeply colored, with a complex velvety taste accentuated with premium French oak.
FRENCH SYRAH The noble French red grape varietal, known for its rich, dark, powerful wines. Known as Shiraz in Australia, French Syrah displays complex berry and spice flavors that go perfectly with hearty foods.
ITALIAN BARBARESCO Named for the village in Italy's Piedmont region, recognized for its big, powerful red wines, with lush aromas, robust fruit flavors, and a dry, full finish. Similar in style to its Barolo cousin, yet more elegant and refined.
ITALIAN MONTEPULCIANO Montepulciano is a vigorous red grape variety widely planted over much of east-central Italy, capable of creating deeply colored, rich red wines with blackberry fruit flavours and spicy, peppery qualities. Due to its moderate acid and firm tannin levels, Montepulciano generally produces wines that are smooth and mellow yet robust and mouth-filling, with dependably high alcohol content. Superb with veal and pasta - an Italian gem you won't want to miss.
SPANISH RIOJA Spain's finest red wine blend from the famous northern Spanish region. Tends towards the traditional French blends, combining bright berry and spice flavors, deep red colors and solid tannin backup. Includes premium oak for a soft, dry vanilla finish.
BAROLO STYLE Large and robust, this style is the one that lovers of big wines are looking for.
